Worn Well

2013-2016

Worn Well garments are the outcome of a multi-year Canadian Institute of Health and Research Grant. They demonstrate a collaborative design process, engaging input from volunteer design collaborators during the development phase. This study resulted in a series of research garments empathetic to the aging body. The guiding principle was designing for dignity. The focus was on aging in place and garments that allowed individuals to persist in self-care and independence that leads to aging in place.
